Worry and Wealth or Watching and Waiting (cont'd)

Yesterday we talked about Luke 12:13-21 (along with other parts of the chapter) and discussed the idea of our stewardship of what God has loaned to us for a time. (If you weren't with us, or didn't have a chance to read it, take a moment and do it now. I'll wait....)

I was reading in Psalm 49:16-20 and thought it continues the conversation.

Do not be overawed when a man grows rich, when the splendor of his house increases;for he will take nothing with him when he dies, his splendor will not descend with him.Though while he lived he counted himself blessed -and men praise you when you prosper -he will join the generation of his fathers, who will never see the light [of life].

A man who has riches without understandingis like the beasts that perish.

May God help us to count our days, as well as our money, and help us to use both to serve the Kingdom by serving others.

Grace & peace
